Description
Four days completely dedicated to the eighth edition of the most interesting granfondo in Tuscany, the Granfondo Mario Cipollini in Lucca. For the first two days, we’ll train together like a real pro team, riding part of the competition trail and planning our strategy for the race. The third day we’ll compete against the 1,000 participants along the race course that will take us through some of the most beautiful places in Lucca and Versilia. From Lucca we’ll go to Monte Quiesa first and then Mount Magno via Camaiore. Riding along the stunning Freddana, we’ll arrive at Matraia and after riding by one-of-a-kind villas, the kind seen in movies or used as locations for international artistic and music events, we’ll take on the most difficult hill, which will take us to the highlands of Pizzorne through centuries-old forests. From Pizzorne, we’ll head through the historic woods to Collodi, the home of the Pinocchio fable. Then we’ll continue by the olives groves and vineyards of the Lucca hills, crossing hamlets and small towns including S. Gennaro, Gragnano and Montecarlo, before arriving at Capannori near Lucca.
